Vacature PLC / HMI Software Engineer

This concerns a vacancy to become permanently employed at our client.

Our client is a machine building company for mainly the automotive industry and next to that they have some projects in the food & pharma industry. They are a big, international company with more than 1800 employees worldwide. The main location in the Netherlands has 900 employees, of which more than 300 are Engineers. They have an OE department (Order Engineering) where they work on custom made projects and a R&D department, where they work on the development of new machines. It is possible to start working at either department or start at one and later change to the other department.

Within the projects you will be working on interesting high-tech machinery, including PLC and HMI systems of Allen Bradley, Siemens and/or B&R. Also motion control, vision and robotics are part of the projects. International travelling will be limited to a maximum of 60 days per year abroad within the custom projects department, in the R&D department there is (almost) no travelling needed. 
 

The Job: PLC / HMI Software Engineer

• As PLC / HMI Software Engineer you will work on high-tech machinery projects
• You are involved in writing functional and technical specifications
• You are responsible for programming and configuring PLC / HMI software (Allen Bradley, Siemens and/or B&R)
• You are responsible for testing and commissioning PLC / HMI software
• You will work on R&D projects for further developing the software standard and develop new machinery
• You will be working with motion control, vision and robotics within the projects

About you:

• You have working experience as a PLC Software Engineer, Control System Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar
• You have knowledge of any PLC system (Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R or other systems)
• You are interested in further developing your skills in motion control, vision and robotics (experience in these fields is not needed)
• You are fluent in English

• Excellent salary (depending on your experience, EUR 50.000 – 65.000,- gross per year)
