Lead Instrumentation Engineer Job

This concerns a vacancy with the possibility for a permanent position.

The job:

• You work in the Instrumentation & Control Engineering department you will take care of all instrumentation and control aspects within mono- and multidisciplinary projects
• You make the control design for installations and factories, independently or in a team, including specifications of the required instruments, cause & effect diagrams, layouts and specifications
• You are responsible from the Instrumentation basic engineering till the start-up within a project
• You are responsible to control the agreed quality, planning and budget
• You make estimates for hours in a tender team
• You work under the supervision of a project leader in a multidisciplinary design team; or act as project leader for monodisciplinary projects, from design to specification phase. You can come into contact with all conceivable instrumentation and control work
• You are responsible for the functional and technical specifications of instruments
• You guide suppliers and installers in the implementation of these systems
• You are able to specify PLC and DCS systems
• You can contribute to HAZOP and SIL studies
• You will have 1 or 2 younger engineers under your care, to guide and coach them in their Instrumentation development

About you:

• You have at least a HBO or WO diploma in Measurement, Regulation and Control Technology or a comparable field. Having electrical knowledge is a plus
• You have at least 5 years of work experience in Instrumentation or Automation for the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and/or food industry
• You communicate easily with people at different levels
• Your English speaking and writing is excellent
• Experience with automation, PLCs and instrumentation hardware is an advantage. No programming experience is required
